Coconut Double Milkshake IPA is the latest installation in our kind of weird, doesn't really make sense on paper, but is actually delicious line of culinary IPAs inspired by milkshakes and dreamt up in tandem with our brothers at @omnipollo. This one was brewed to 9.0% abv and conditioned on twice the amount of luscious fruit and Madagascar vanilla beans. Intensely hopped and dry hopped with Mosaic and Citra. Contains lactose!

Can dated 2/10/17. Praying like I rarely do that it's still good. Poured into Veil Anniversary glass.
L: 2F head with good retention, leaves plenty of slightly off-white sticky lacing and a cap and ring. Beer is a very hazy light gold/orange.
S: Coconut! Which is great because several brewers have told me it is one of the first flavors/noses to fade in beer. Also tropical fruits like mango and pineapple. Vanilla. Light malts. Maybe a tad muted since it was fresh, but more than good.
T: Coconut and mango/pineapple. Creamy lactose through the middle and finish and vanilla joins on the finish for a slightly spicy run out. No alcohol noted, nor bitterness. Nice soft flavors. If there is degradation over 10 weeks, I can't even imagine what this must be like fresh.
F: Creamy, moderate body, light to medium carbonation. Outstanding construction and balance. Quite drinkable despite high ABV and body.
O: Man, this is great. I see what all the fuss is about.

First milkshake IPA from Tired Hands, off the charts good. Don't get a whole lot of coconut flavor, but extremely hoppy and flavorful. Hope to try a few more of these lactose IPA's.

Pours with nice white head. Two finger aroma coconut malt. Taste coconut juice. Malt, hops, vanilla beans, mosaic with a citrus tangy finish. Excellent IPA. Look very forward to more from tired hands.

Poured from TH growler into snifter; creamy, opaque, unfiltered gold color. Modest carbonation leading to soft thin head. Coconut, Fruits, yeast and hops rise to nose. Thick, creamy feel on palate- coconut is faint, fruits balanced with alcohol and the peppery finish is a pleasant surprise. A unique beer for sure!
