Hazey Jane I is a nice and Hazey IPA brewed with spelt and lactose sugar. Hopped with a dash of Simcoe and a proper helping of Citra. Dry hopped exclusively with a good bit more Citra. Do you hope to find new ways of quenching your thirst? Ripe guava, soft peach, sappy pine, passionfruit, champagne mango, and augmented fourths.

Anyone have an idea what an augmented fourth is? It's listed as being in this beer but that's about the only part of the description that I couldn't detect as I gave this a go. Yes, the can was old as it was dated 4/5/17 with "BRYTER" written below it, but I still found this to be enjoyable and light enough to nearly be an American Pale Ale at the same time!

Not a bad pour to this as the look and aroma reminded me of something that I'd get from Greenpoint (one of the more underrated breweries in this neck of the woods!). Translucent, golden, and slick, the liquid was topped off with plenty of head and thin rings of lacing that remained around the sides of my pint glass. Lots of lactose, tropical fruit, champagne, and passion fruit in the nose as the taste contained all of those as well. Moderately dank, subtly sweet, and underlying slick with citrus, this was a fun and lively beer that had plenty of carbonation and livelihood to it even though there was a slightly murky and turbid tone to the aftertaste that left me wanting more...

Hardly any booze was in this and the hops were present but not overtly strong or bitter. If you love the Milkshake beers from Tired Hands, this would be in line with those but just a bit different as the malt was not easily detectable. In the end, I enjoyed the understated sublimity of this beer as it was in line with the wordless label. Glad I was able to make my acquaintance with Hazey Jane!

Bright golden, medium sized head and good lacing. Aromas are zesty and hoppy. Notes of sharp citrus, underripe mango and stone fruit by the pit. Sharp, medium body, good carbonation and dry. Just an average IPA for me.
