IPA brewed with generous additions of spelt and oats. Primarily psychically hopped and intensely dry hopped with the elusive Southern Hemisphere varietals Galaxy and Vic Secret. Secondarily dry hopped with domestic Amarillo. Luscious and creamy notes of cara-cara orange, strawberry cream, drippy mango, and light green pepper/black lime. What will become of your energy when you die?

16 oz. can. Pale hazy yellow. Smells grassy and floral. Kinda sweet too. Some light lime citrus. Tastes a little herbal, melon, some light sweetness. Grainy malt profile. Sweet and herbal back end. Medium body. Good IPA.

I have no idea how or when I obtained this can as it got lost in my stash and didn't have anything completely legible written on the bottom of the can. It *looks* like it was canned on 7/14/17 with "A SNAIL" written underneath it and if that's the case, it's my fault for letting it get lost for so long! Regardless of it's age, this was a very complex beer that intrigued me as i poured it out and took a first, muted sip...
Interesting pour to this as the quietly radiant, golden hue was topped off with a rocky and uneven head that took it's time to settle down. Lots of thick lacing was left behind as it was stepped and never formed any solid rings in my pint glass. Interesting, quiet nose of spelt, oats, melon, and urine from the Galaxy in the nose as the taste opened things up a bit more. The pepper and black lime stuck out to me first as the mild spice and underlying dryness were this brew's hallmark. Strawberry patch, melon dankness, white wheat, and body from the oats combined to give this an interesting complexity that never quite fully melded together. More hop bitterness from the Amarillo and notes from the cara-cara orange would have really made this wonderful but those may have subsided over time, leaving me to rate a beer full of dankness and spicy floral notes...
Not a lot of booze to this as it was on par with everything else that was going on here. I wanted to love this beer but ended up just liking it for it's odd complexity. Lots going on here as the grainy and overripe aftertaste only added to it's intrigue. Shame that this is retired as it's one of the better and deeper brew from Tired Hands that I've been able to get a hold of!

From 16oz can purchased at the TH release. Pours a typically cloudy yellow with a nice head. Delicious on both the nose and palate with citrus flavors and a hoppy, peppery finish with a bit of funk, too. A terrific IPA.

Tried on tap at Isaac Newton's in Newtown, PA, celebrating National IPA Day. This was the highlight of the tastings for me.
Look - murky, hazy like a glass of orange juice with a head on top. sticky lacing.
Smell - Citrus, melon and pineapple.
Taste - fantastic combinations and depth of flavors. layers of fruit and resin, sweet and bitter.
Feel - so creamy and think, luxurious
Overall - Just as I was getting tired of big, east coast IPA's, this one pulled me back in. My favorite new IPA of the year. this does everything for me. Get some!

thanks to daniel for the can! pours super murk...like OJ. Sheets of lacing coat the glass. nose tickles with melon...but bursts with flavor in the taste. galaxy is there as is the earthy vic secret. oats really give the body some balls. unique...floral...earthy...melony....tasty.
