Unlook Back is a Blackcurrant Mild inspired by British dark mild. Brewed with a base of British malted barley and oats, and a plethora of specialty malts. Hopped very lightly with German Callista, and boiled with blackcurrants. Fermented with our house ale yeast and conditioned on a puree of more currants. Notes of milk chocolate, thick winter smoke, and deep red berries.

Poured on tap at the brewery.
Pours a dark brown color with a finger of creamy off-white head. The head has excellent retention, leaving a fair amount of cobweb lacing in its wake.
The aroma brings notes of roasted barley, cereal grain, and a small amount of sweet chocolate. On the back end there's a faint hint of subtly tart black cherries.
The taste follows the nose, however there's a lot more milk chocolate up front, followed by a wave of some roasted nuts and grains, and finished off with some tart cherries and mildly spicy hops. Beautiful flavor and balance.
The feel is medium-light bodied with soft carbonation. Smooth and creamy, yet nicely dry.
Overall, this is one delicious dark ale. It's boasting with flavor and you'll be shocked when you see the ABV. Excellent beer.

Pours Black with no head or lacing into flight glass. Smell is mild- malts and an odd brunette fruit note. Taste is dark malt and currant, as well as a bitter note, maybe the combination of currant and hops? Translates into a strange briny almost black olive note. Feel is smooth and refreshing, which is expected for the low ABV. Not bad, but not particularly impressive given TH’s output.

On draft in a pint glass
Dark brown in color, thin white head that fades. Aroma is slightly sweet caramel malt. I don't pick up any of the black currant. Nice balanced taste. Full flavored for a 3% abv beer. I know a dark mild won't be full bodied, but it was a bit thinner that some others I've had. Overall nice beer just wouldn't know about the fruit unless I read the description.
