Nectareous is our Guava IPA brewed to a similar base as our beloved HopHands, with a touch of local wildflower honey. Fermented at our Dispensary in one of our brand new French oak foudres and conditioned on heaps of guava puree and dry hopped aggressively with Simcoe, Citra, and Zythos. Notes of musky guava, soft tangerine, subtle hard spices, grapefruit rind, and floral honey.

I had this on draught at a pub in Pennsylvania. 16 oz. pour served in a shaker glass. It pours an opaque, golden-straw color with a half finger of fluffy, milk-white head that dissipated quickly, and soapy lacing that thinly-coated the glass. The nose features tangerine and sweet fruit that I assume is guava, with a whiff of honey and a lot of floral hops. I didn't taste the guava; rather, it was decidedly tart citrus: lemon and grapefruit, with pepper and bitter, biting Citra and Simcoe hops at the finish. It's quite bitter. This ale is medium-bodied with lively carbonation, and easy to drink with a moderate ABV of 5.8% Overall, I was somewhat surprised not to taste the advertised guava and oak. It's a fine American IPA but I wish there was more tropical sweetness to play off the bitterness and spice.

Honey and nectarines are definitely prominent in the taste. Smooth mouthfeel, citrus hops throughout. A nice IPA although they have a lot better than this.
