Fives Leaves Left (iii) is the third in a five beer series exploring the interplay of a single hop and a single additional sugar source in an oat-based Double IPA. (iii) was brewed with Agave syrup. Hopped and dry hopped intensely and singularly with Galaxy. (iii) is dripping with peach and lime and a really cool subtle hard-spice quality.

16 oz. cn poured into a Tired Hands pint glass. Canned on 10/16/17. Part 3 of 5 single hop and single sugar source IPAs. Hopped only with Galaxy and brewed with agave syrup. Previous entries include Mosaic/Corn Sugar and Idaho 7/Wildflower Honey.
L - opaque amber color; super hazy and cloudy; dense lacing; dense white foam
S - very complex; pineapple, mango, hint of agave syrup sweetness, peach, cantelope, just an array of fruit flavors
T - resiny pine, tropical fruit, definitely agave syrup; hard to pinpoint exactly the flavors of this beer
F - resinous hop character; super smooth; slight water-like crispness; fine carbonation
O - quite the array of flavors, agave and Galaxy certainly ws an interesting pairing. Always a good beer when you have Galaxy. Cheers!

16 oz. can
Pours cloudy hazy opaque amber gold with a dense creamy white foam head. The aroma of this beer is almost reminiscent of a light and fruity tequila, with some agave syrup, fresh pineapple, peach, passionfruit, candied grapefruit, orange citrus, lemon, lime, bready crackery malt, some spice, with fresh resinous pine trees and floral earthy herbal grass. The taste is very unique with the agave nectar, almost like a fruity tequila, with some notes of pineapple, peach, passionfruit, candied grapefruit, orange citrus, lemon, lime, bready crackery malt, some spice, with fresh resinous pine trees and floral earthy herbal grass. Feels medium bodied, creamy and smooth with moderate carbonation. Overall a really nice and interesting DIPA with Galaxy hops and agave syrup.

Recent can from a recent trade. I've come to learn that galaxy is nite my favorite hop and on first sip this reminded me of that as the galaxy is very forward. As I stories and the brew opened, the shave and other ingredients took hold and Roy bed it the roughness of the galaxy. Almost pastry like. Really easy drinking and tasty.

It pours hazy yellow with a huge head. The aroma if fruity and sweet and the taste is very similar but balanced by some nice hop bitterness that is primarily floral. Chewable and with mild carbonation.
