Once again, this was another beer that I traded for a while ago that I took a while to get around to. Dated 12/18/17 with "CARTED" written underneath it, this wasn't a bad beer but it was different because of how much lime was in it. If you're into that flavor and the sweetness of a summer Italian ice, then this would be right up your alley!
This should have been classified as a New England IPA rather than an American IPA because of how cloudy and muddled this was, along with the level of juice that was present. Unlike many other beers from Tired Hands and the like, the dry, chalky feel of lime was was dominated here along with the citrus tang associated with that fruit. It made up for the moderate head and lack of lacing but the oats, salt, and dank tropical fruit rind made up for this beer's appearance. Full, sugary, and dry, this reminded me of a gumdrop without the excessive saccharine although it could have had a bit less chalk in the mouthfeel...
The booze was sufficient here but that was an afterthought given how different this felt to me. While not a bad beer, it wasn't among the best from Tired Hands as it left a bit to be desired. Enjoy it as a anomaly but just don't end your session with this one!

If a beautiful summer day had a flavor, this would be it.

From draft at TH. From the tap list: "Fruit Cart IPA 7.1% A collaboration with our dear friends from Monkish in Torrance, CA. Inspired by the fruit cups sold by vendors on the beaches of southern California. Brewed with oats, coconut oil, lime zest and Tajin (chili pepper, salt, lime). Conditioned on watermelon and pineapple puree. Dry hopped with Galaxy, Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe. Notes fragrant papaya, green plantain, piƱa colada, floral chili pepper, and juicy melon." Typical hazy golden pour. Tasty for sure, with saltiness of the palate.

Golden hazy look. Fruity smell. Soft taste. Overall a nice tired hands brew.
