Semi-hazy straw yellow-gold, tons of alien lace splays on the glass above a white blanket.
Smell is Trix, lemon-lime and strawberry mint.
Taste adds semi-bitter pine to the above stated aromas, but then a toothpaste-like flavor ruins the party.
A soft medium-light body has a mild froth with a semi-dry to dry chew.

From 16oz can purchased at the TH release on Jan 24. Pours a hazy amber orange-gold with a nice head. Unusual nose and palate..orange, spice, hoppy bitterness and a little dank. From the release post: "Far out notes of orange blossom, luscious whipped topping, Indian hard spice, mango meringue, and lemon grass." Different and tasty.

Pours cloudy gold color with a 2 finger bright white colored head that was packed with bubbles and faded slowly, leaving really good foamy rings as it went down. Good looking for an IPA, better looking for an American Blonde Ale.
Smells of wheat, lemon zest, ginger, hay, cracked wheat, lead pencil shavings, orange peel, coriander and spices. For a wheat beer or American Blonde Ale, this smells alright. For an IPA it's smells pretty poor. Either way, not my thing with too many spices but I respect that it represents all the ingredients.
Tastes just like it smells with the same lineup of lemon zest, ginger, hay, cracked wheat, lead pencil shavings, orange peel, coriander and spices, plus the additions of peppery spices, potpourri, chalky yeast, toasted grains and minerals. Too spicy for me and it would be decent for a wheat beer, but I just don't dig heavily spiced beers.
The can states "Strange Spiced Double Dry Hopped Extra Blonde Ale" so I'm not sure why it's listed as an American IPA style as it should be a blonde ale, witbier or wheat beer. The TH website says it's "7.2% Brewed with a touch of Vienna malt and hopped in the kettle with Motueka and Centennial. Spiced with tamarind powder and a dash of turmeric to the kettle. Conditioned on heaps of lemon & tamarind puree, and Tahitian vanilla, and dry hopped with Simcoe, Citra, Crystal, & Cascade." I had to do research on turmeric, which is part of the ginger family so that made sense. Unfortunately this combo of flavors and aromas didn't make sense to me, but at least it hid the ABV well.
