Poured from the can into a DFH tulip glass. Pitch black with a nice khaki tan head. Huge notes of coffee and roasted malts. A hint of vanilla. Very coffee forward on the initial taste followed by chocolate and roasty malts. Nice full bodied mouthfeel. The vanilla took a backseat to this beer...very much coffee forward.

Cracked open at Arch Bridge yesterday.
The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with considerable creamy mocha head and excellent lacing. The nose is quite attractive in this beer, and yet probably the least impressive aspect of the beer. As expected, I picked up considerable coffee and moderate vanilla, along with some light chocolate. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, though it's amazing how well the coffee and vanilla blend together in this beer. Also, the mouthfeel is exceptional in this beer; soft, creamy, full and very long, with a great lingering finish. Alcohol is very well integrated into this beer, and this beer does not drink like an 11% abv. beer. So I would describe this beer as dangerously drinkable (it would be very easy to knock back a couple of cans of this bad boy without giving it a second thought).
Just an altogether excellent beer, and arguably the best OV beer I've encountered yet. Very, very impressive.
Thanks Derek!

The beer pours Pitch Black with a thin khaki head. It has low carbonation. The beer smells of roasted coffee beans, baker’s chcolate, Licorice, and molasses. It tastes of roasted coffee beans, dark baker’s chocolate, a little licorice, and molasses. The beer is medium full. A solid stout from Tired Hands, but didn’t get any vanilla.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Red Session. Dark brown color. Aroma has fresh roasted coffee with cream and chocolate syrup. Taste is bitter, roasty, really coffee forward, creamy and easy drinking.
