High Tripper is a mashup of our beers High Road and Death Tripper. A double Galaxy IPA brewed with malted spelt and oats, and a touch of light caramel malt. Hopped with more than enough Galaxy (two times as much even!) along with Mosaic, Simcoe, and Centennial. Notes of Satsuma mandarin, fir needles, clover honey, lime balm and unripe pineapple.

Pours a vibrant, hazy, smoothie-orange with a finger-and-a-half of off-white head. Decent lacing.
Nice aroma of mango, peach, vanilla, cream, lime, pine and grass.
The taste does not follow the nose. There's an herbal element up front coupled with a strong chalky, citrus-pith bitterness throughout. Mineral water on the backend. This is not to my taste at all.
The feel is medium bodied and fizzy.
One of the worst TH beers I've ever had. The taste and the nose are completely incongruent and I don't like the fizziness here. Well below average, IMO.

High Tripper - Tired Hands
IPA - 6.66% abv
Canned 5/31/18 (10 days ago)
Purchased for $20/4 at Tired Hands
L - massive, 3.5 finger pillowy offwhite head atop an opaque, burnt yellow body.
S - grapefruit, melon, papaya, herb, pine. The nose on this is quite lovely.
T - bitter grapefruit pith, with a sprinkle of sugar on top. The tropical fruits are present but the grapefruit is prominent. Mild dankness. Somewhat dirty middle. Moderate bitterness. Low sweetness. Moderate booziness.
F - medium body with above-average carb.
O - this strikes me as much more West Coast than usual for Tired Hands. Bitterness is more prominent, and the booze is more noticeable than in any other TH I’ve had recently. Still, all the elements work well together, and this is a pleasure to drink. Closest comparable: Foreign Objects’ Green Galaxy.

16 oz can, dated 5/31/18, poured into a teku
A- A hazy golden straw color with a two finger white head
S- Citrus, lime zest, bright abrasive hops, mangoes, touch of oats, slightly dank. Just super pungent Galaxy hops.
T- Lime zest, citrus, some tropical fruits/melons, touch of oats, finish is bitter piney/dank with some earthiness.
M- Smooth, light to medium body, creamy.
O- One of the best smelling IPAs from Tired Hands, unfortunately the taste isn’t as big or in your face. Still a very good IPA, I hope this isn’t just a off brew. The taste is really growing on me.
