Bananas Foster Double Milkshake IPA is another outrageous run at THE Culinary IPA series, dreamt up with our psychic-colleagues at Omnipollo, and inspired by the classic, flaming, tableside dessert. Brewed with fluffy malted wheat and oats, and lactose sugar. Conditioned on banana chips and house made bananas foster (we made caramel sauce, put a lot of bananas in it, then lit it on fire with banana liqueur and rum). Dry hopped, forever and always, with sticky, resiny and pungent Citra and Mosaic. Just a real deal perfectly ripe Bananas Foster presence and void of any electric yellow artificial banana flavors. Notes of glazed banana bread, gooey caramel, bright tropical fruit zests, taro smoothie and vanilla cookie.

Pours a turbid dull orange with two fingers of white head that dissipated fairly quick.
Smell is pungent, sticky Citra.(no meat, sorry Matt). Orange and mango dominate the fruit aspect.
Taste is similar with the oily Citra hops dominating and lingering in the aftertaste. Being a citra whore I'm enjoying this. There is a bit of sweetness with hints of vanilla. An underlying sweet fruitiness that escapes me.
Full bodied, slick and creamy feel.
Overall an excellent beer!

Bananas Foster Double Milkshake - Tired Hands
IPA - 9.2% abv
Purchased for $26/4 at Tired Hands
Canned 7/27/18 (9 days ago)
L - 2-finger fizzy head is gone in under a minute. Body is an opaque brownish yellow.
S - bananas, brown sugar, lactose, oranges.
T - slightly unripened bananas with a lovely hop burn kicker. Marshmallow, graham cracker, melon, orange, mixed candies. Incredibly smooth throughout the sip. Low bitterness, moderate-low sweetness, no booziness.
F - medium-full body with average carb.
O - still a bit green, but its better for it. The hop burn counters the usual milkshake sweetness and balances each sip. This is my favorite milkshake in recent memory. Track down a can if you, uh, can.

16 oz can, dated 7/27/18, poured into a teku
A- A hazy golden straw color with a two finger white head.
S- Green hops, citrus and tropical fruits, some bananas, caramel, some brown sugar, touch of sweet rum, vanilla.
T- Still getting lots of hops, but not as green as the nose. Citrus, some tropical fruits/melons, some bananas, some caramel, vanilla, slightly dank finish.
M- Smooth, creamy, medium body.
O- This is a DIPA, unlike a lot of the other Double Milkshakes I’ve tried. Bananas are noticeable but not as pronounced as the banana character you get from a great Hefeweizen. Extremely drinkable.
