A completely opaque, turbid, dark orange-yellow brew. A gentle pour results in a strong 1 finger of white foam; retention is solid.
Unsurprisingly, the nose is quite hoppy. Individual tones are a bit difficult to pick up, however; generally speaking, I'm getting mango, pineapple, passionfruit, pepper, and honey. While it's a hop-forward aroma, it's just a touch muddled - but quite pleasant, and I wouldn't quite say it's restrained.
Fortunately, the hops translate wonderfully to the palate: big juicy notes of papaya, banana, orange, ruby red grapefruit, mango, mingling with some slight oregano and mint. It's sweet, juicy, and unbelievably easy to drink.
Smooth and luscious on the palate. Incredibly creamy.
Just a wonderful DIPA overall.
