Guava Lavender Milkshake IPA is yet another not-so-logical extension of THE genre defining Culinary IPA series. Brewed with heavy amounts of fluffy malted oats, wheat and lactose sugar. Intensely hopped AND dry hopped with hand selected Citra and Mosaic. Conditioned atop a melange of sweet Madagascar vanilla beans, pungent guava purée, and fresh pineapple lavender. A real bright yet comfortable noodle twister that evokes tropical waves of bliss and peace with each sniff and sip. Dreamt up with our lava surfin’ shredders over at @omnipollo! Intense notes of candied grapefruit rind, candied pineapple, peppery white sage, deep guava perfume and drippy donut peaches.

Poured from a can into my Tired Hands teku glass. These are from my notes of a two week old can.
L: Typical milkshake, light to medium super murky cloudy golden color. Nice two finger white had with massive glass lacing.
S: Wow, this is nice. Loads of lavendar and floral smells coupled with the guava and tropical fruit smells. Some slight vanilla too. Smells fantastic.
T: I just get a ton of lavender and floral flavors up front that couple with the guava, pinapple and tropical fruits. I even get a little mint on this one. Sweetness is candy like as the vanilla sets in but the tropical fruits and floral lavender flavors finish out the beer. Finish is dry and lingering but of course super smooth. This is very different, but great.
F: Full, creamy smooth, slight alcohol and nice carbonation.
O: I did not have great expectations for this iteration of shake, but damn I really like it. This is way different than other shakes in that the floral lavender flavors really are the focal points. This was a totally different type of shake, but it ended up being an awesome one. Please, brew this again.

Opaque dark tannish-orange with a bubbly, tall airy foam settling to a spongy uneven blanket with chunky lace.
Smell is a little pungent and dank of herbal pine, black pepper and lemon with accents of pink Starburst and guava.
I thought this was going to be a fun one, but it has a heavy handed, sharp acidic hoppiness both in smell and taste, to the point that it even burns the nostrils. Some hints of wild herbs and guava come out in flavor with that classic Tired Hands milkshake vanilla, but it burns on the way down. Some light toast comes out as it warms.
The light body has a crunchy, airy carbonation before a paper dry finish.
