Pours jet black with very little foam, looks almost flat.

Smell is sweet and pungent with notes of coffee, fudge, kladdkaka and some licorice.

Taste is sweet and roasty at the same time with some degree of maltiness. Slighty boozy, with notes of fudge, bread pudding, licorice and a hint of spruce.

Mouthfeel is thick and chewy, well carbonated.

Overall, a really interesting stout. This can was about a year old, but seems like the flavors held up well.

Ink black with three fingers of airy, fizzy dark brown head that are quick to bubble away. No crown, no lacing. Ugly, really.

Roasted malts and a little distant cherry-and-toffee-like sweetness in the nose. There’s a touch of flat root beer, too, maybe.

A similar mix of faint cherry and other stone fruits, distant root beer and cola, light toffee and caramel combine with the more traditional roasted malts up front in the taste. They’re followed by a mix of bitter bakers chocolate and a sweeter, high-quality chocolate frosting in the finish. On the whole, it’s a lot sweeter than a typical stout, but has just enough bitterness on the backend to be much more drinkable than many dessert stouts. There’s just the slightest hint of alcohol and maybe even cinnamon in there as well.

The feel is medium bodied, slightly sticky, with appropriately-modest carbonation. I actually like that it isn’t too thick. The feel keeps it easy-drinking.

This tastes really good despite its boring, stale appearance. The drinkability here is dangerous. I had no idea it topped 10%.

Pours black with a finger of brown head that disappeared pretty quickly.
Smells of roasty malts, dark fruits, burnt sugar.
Taste follows with the roasty malt, figs, burnt sugar(toffee). Also getting some chocolate.
Medium bodied smooth beer.
Overall a tasty one from Tired Hands.
