Appearance - Pours black with a thin mocha colored head that settles to a thin film. Few dots of lacing as expected.
Aroma - Roasted malts, vanilla, chocolate slight nutty nose.
Taste - This is a dessert stout for sure, up front big hit of char and smoke. Vanilla comes in not long after with some rich dark chocolate that lingers throughout the finish. Getting a big pecan presence about halfway through, I feel like there is a good bit of bourbon as well.
Feel - Slightly thin with a slick oily feel, little heat with a nice dry finish.
Overall - A really well done dessert stout with great layers of flavor.

Got to try this beer on 4-6-19. Rating a 5 on looks, because c'mon, Cory Kings visage is on the frickin can! After that, pretty much all downhill for me. Smells a little busy, with a hint of vanilla coming out on top. The flavors of this beer are muddled. I couldn't really pick out any of the individual flavors, but could tell that the beer itself was adjunct heavy, and the overall flavor profile was not pleasant to me.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells primarily of roasted malt - which is unusual for a big pastry stout. There's a bit of booze, along with a great rich nuttiness, brown sugar, caramel, and chocolate fudge.
The beer has a nice balance of sweet and bitter here - it's much less sweet than the typical big ol' pastry stout. There's roast and tobacco, a bit of bittersweet vanilla, and a big fudgy backbone. The smoked maple walnuts come through fairly strongly, and add a really cool sweet/smoky dimension to this. The pecan flavor comes through, almost like pecan-flavored coffee.
This is thick and chewy, with slight booze bitterness on the finish. It's definitely a slow sipper, due to the intensity of flavors.
It's definitely uncommon to get a "unique" pastry stout these days. This was intriguing and complex.

Pours very dark black with a half-inch of very dark mocha-colored head.
Roasted chocolate malts and vanilla in the nose.
Lots of vanilla mixed in with very rich, dark chocolate mousse or even fudge flavors. There’s a definite booziness, too, and a light hint of candied pecans, dark fruit and smoke. It’s rich, decadent and perhaps a touch too sweet — although there is a little tobacco and ash under all that chocolate syrup.
Full bodied and oily feeling with moderate carbonation.
This is definitely a dessert stout. I thought finishing a pint by myself would be a challenge, but there’s enough dark elements and booze to balance out the sweetness. Very tasty. Canned on 2/15/19.
