Wow. Just, wow. They just don't come bigger and better than this one. Got be careful drinking this one because you can't taste the 9% alcohol one bit. Huge tropical notes on the nose and the tongue. Nice and dank, too. Love this one.

16oz can courtesy of CanConPhilly. The stamp on the bottom reads,"Yo Bro! 03/07/2019."
Poured into mug, hazy orange color, with a bizarre ball of snot-like yeast at the end of the pour landing with a loud "plop." I won't lie, it was a little disturbing. Lots of lace.
Smells like a glass of guava-pineapple fruit juice. There's really no other aroma, aside from a very faint whiff of vanilla.
Tastes like one, too, but with added creaminess. As in the nose, the vanilla beans give off a slight sweetness but mostly stay out of the way. Dry, bitter hoppiness at the very finish, but it's fairly mellow. No sign of it's high alcohol content in the taste.
Medium bodied, with a quite creamy mouthfeel.
Perhaps a Dixie Cup made with tropical fruits might taste like this. Incredibly smooth stuff. I suspect this would make a helluva dessert beer when I'm in Hawaii this summer! One has to be careful with this, seeing as it's nearly TIPA strength but it's so sweet and smooth you'd never know it without reading the label. Thanks, Matt!

Murky, yet vibrant brown-and-gray-tinted orange with close to two fingers of antique-white head that leave nice rings of lacing.
Big floral guava stands out in the nose with some just-shy-of-ripe pineapple beneath. A little white pepper and orange citrus are in there as well.
Once again in the taste, the guava comes on really strong. Maybe a little too much so. There is also some pineapple and orange candy sweetness, and a little pepper and Greek Easter bread mid-palate. A really pleasant vanilla and cream showed in the second pour, suggesting that gently rolling the can before pouring could be beneficial. There’s a drying quality to the finish, leaving just a little residually-sweet tropical flower impression in the aftertaste.
Full bodied with a soft feel and light carbonation.
This is a fine beer that pretty much delivers as promised. To my taste, the guava and pineapple both could have been dialed back a touch. Probably the best-looking can art of the milkshake series.

From draft at TH. From the tap list: “Guava Pineapple Double Milkshake IPA is the latest drippy goopy funny genre bending iteration of our Culinary IPA series. Brewed with fluffy malted oats, red wheat, and lactose sugar. Hopped and dry hopped intensely with Citra & Mosaic from our 2018 selections. Conditioned on fresh guava and pineapple purées, as well as a heavy amount of Madagascar vanilla beans. Telepathically conceived, as ever, with our sweeties from @Omnipollo. Notes of musky guava, lilac, orange creamsicle, bright lychee, and lemon curd. 9.2% abv.” Lots of fabulous flavors here, but the high abv detracts from the pleasure for my palate (hence, the low feel rating). Otherwise, this is exceptionally well crafted.
