Passionfruit Lychee Coconut Milkshake IPA is a positively irresistible tropical iteration of our near and dear Culinary IPA series, and yet another chapter in the trans-continental mind-meld with our clairvoyant comrades at @omnipollo. Brewed, as ever, with a heavy amount of oats, wheat, and lactose sugar. Conditioned atop a puree of lychee and passionfruit, a generous helping of lush Madagascar vanilla, and a silly amount of raw coconut flesh. Notes of coconut cream pie, tart mango candy, peach tea, and Hawaiian beachside resort juices from their Continental Breakfast.

L: Beautiful golden hazy IPA with nice head.
S: As soon as you pour it, you can smell the passion fruit and orange. Smells like those Hawaiian Sun Passion Orange Juice drinks.
T: Beautiful play on the traditional citrusy NE IPA. Instead of orange, mango and grapefruit - it’s passion fruit, orange, and grapefruit. Lychee adds complexity to the citrus flavor. Nice tarty and creamy coconut and vanilla finish, no bitterness.
F: Nice med body mouthfeel, but I think all milkshake IPAs have a mouthful advantage.
O: Refreshing exotic ‘citrus’ IPA. The type of drink you want as you relax on a beach in Hawaii, but you want a sophisticated beer instead of a fruity cocktail with an umbrella in it. Or if you are tired of the same citra or galaxy hopped IPA, this is an eye opener.

Pours a hazy deep yellow, with a well retained two finger white head that left little lacing. Smells of tropical fruits, coconut and vanilla. Tastes of passion fruit, coconut, vanilla, mango, grapefruit and a bit of lactose sweetness. Medium bodied and carbonated, creamy mouth feel, very mild bitterness.

There are two foods in all of the foods in the world I don’t like: green peas and coconut. But I like green peas in stuff like beef stew or tuna casserole and I absolutely LOVE coconut in beer.
This milkshake IPA is no exception . From the milkshake hazy golden colored body to the foamy white head to the veritable plethora of passion fruit, vanilla, and coconut aromas that translate perfectly to the taste, to the mouthfeel that somehow manages to be firm and supple concurrently, this beer is truly a treat.
Absolutely love it. Tired Hands is the really real deal.

From a 16oz can dated 10/3/19. Pours a dense, opaque straw gold. I got more coconut on the nose than the palate, but both feature abundant citrus and passionfruit on the palate. A tart finish overwhelms the usual smooth lactose milkshake finish. Very nice.
