Pours dark black. Aroma is a mix of nuts, chocolate, coffee, whiskey and a tad bit of vanilla. Taste is mainly the nuts with some chocolate, vanilla and whiskey. Medium mouthfeel though I would prefer a fuller mouthfeel.
Definitely a great Imperial stout. Exceed expectations.

Dark brown with a plum leather hue. Three fingers of mocha head that last a decent while. Thick, sloppy webbed lacing.
Nuts and berries in the nose. Almost like a peanut and blueberry trail mix.
The taste isn’t as nutty, although there is some carried over. I’m also getting hipster coffee; vanilla; blueberry; a light amount of baker’s chocolate; Hershey’s kisses; and just a hint of whiskey-ish alcohol sweetness. It does remind me of BBA coffee beans I had from Modern Times once.
Medium bodied with modest carbonation.
I love the lacing on the glass from this one. The other thing going for it is that it does have a lot of depth. If this was a 3-or-4% English-style cask beer with this depth of flavor, I’d be impressed. For an additive-laden 9.2%er, I’m a little underwhelmed. Connoisseurs of fancy-ass coffee may enjoy this more than I did. The peanut notes also aren’t really my thing.
