Pours pretty close to matte black with a finger of dark mocha head that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves minimal lacing.
Sweet aroma with definite lavender, cinnamon, coffee, and “pink berries” (raspberry?).
The taste follows. Twiggy coffee, low-octane dark chocolate, cinnamon, lavender, anise, some sort of red or pink fruit and moderate alcohol heat. It does taste a bit like potpourri, but in the very best way, with the chocolate and coffee notes adding a light bitterness for balance. For a split second, I even get the impression of quality burnt ends with a nice barbecue sauce; so there is some RIS-like umami in here, but it’s hidden under the surface.
Medium to full bodied, borderline syrupy, with light carbonation.
I thought I would dislike this beer, but it is phenomenal. Each of the wackadoo flavor additives works in harmony with the others. It’s exceptionally well balanced as a result. My favorite Tired Hands stout by far.

Deep black in body with dark khaki head that disappears. Aroma of cocoa, salted caramel, lavender, licorice, and herbs. Tastes of cocoa, salted caramel, herbs, licorice, medicine cabinet, lavender, lots of booze, and some hop bite towards the finish. Thick and oily in body with minimal carbonation. Too sweet and boozy for my liking.

From the TH Instagram post: "Memory Care is our Salted Chocolate & Lavender Coffee Stout brewed with all our of favorite dark specialty and caramel malts, as well as a generous helping of flaked oats and a pinch of sea salt. Conditioned on luscious cacao, a touch of fresh lavender, and a Rwandan coffee roasted by our in-house roastery @awakemindscoffee. This bean comes from the Nyamasheke district in the Western Province of Rwanda. Our roaster Rachel chose to roast this a touch darker than we'd normal roast such a bean, and the resulting profile really grounds this complex stout with a rich, earthy depth and a classic creamed coffee body. Notes of Pennsylvania's finest milk chocolate bars, sticky hot fudge sundaes, delicate floral spice, melty s’mores, buckwheat honey, and lush toasted almonds." Boozy with the high abv but certainly delicious.
