L: Poured from a crowler to a snifter glass. Had a bright amber color and a surprisingly clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Below average lacing.
S: A solid aroma of hops, citrus fruit, coconut, malt, and tropical fruit.
T: Tasted of a bit of malt (mostly in the finish - not a particularly big factor), a fair amount of hops (less than expected, but still there), a good shot of tropical fruit (pineapple), some coconut notes, and a decent bit of citrus fruit (lemon). An interesting, slightly boozy flavor. It's billed as a triple IPA, but it's not excessively hoppy. Pretty tasty.
F: A so-so amount of carbonation with a warm, almost syrupy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is a somewhat unusual, but oddly likable beer. Worth a try.
