Spatula is an Imperial Milk Porter with Vanilla, Cinnamon, and Coconut; a tasty treat to stave off the last throes of Winter =) Brewed with a generous helping of flaked oats, a touch of lactose sugar, and a diverse selection of specialty grains leaning heavily into the chocolate and caramel malts. Conditioned after fermentation on an abundance of raw coconut flakes, Madagascar vanilla beans, and a pinch of cinnamon. Notes of chocolate buttercream, Cuban espresso, coconut macaroons, toasted pecans and tiramisu.

Poured from a 16oz can into pint glass in January 2023. There was a canned on date of 12/02/2022, with some words on the bottom that I could only make out "Junk xxx". I bought the beer at their brew pub in Ardmore and drank it within a couple of days.
Appearance: Very dark black with a dark brown head. Head was very thin, and only lasted a minute. It left a little lacing on the glass, and ended with a thin tan head still on the beer.
Smell: Aroma of roasted malts and coffee as soon as the can is opened. There is also some chocolate, dark fruit, and caramel, but overall the roasted malt and coffee dominate the others.
Taste: There is a nice mix of coffee and chocolate flavors. Also some coconut, vanilla, and smokey roasted flavors. There is only a little amount of bitter hop flavors to enhance the taste. There is a medium alcohol presence, which matches the 8% on the Tired Hands website.
Mouth-feel: Medium body, but also smooth. It has a little edge as a good Porter should, and is not as smooth as a milk stout. The added hops are a nice balance to the other flavors.
This is a very good Porter, and I enjoyed the variety of bold flavors. There is a nice balance between the roasted malt, coffee, coconut, and chocolate flavors. I like this as much as Tired Hands King Royal. It is a dessert version of King Royal, and a nice contrast to that beer. Even though it is a big Porter, it is still smooth and enjoyable to drink. I would buy this again.
