It poured out of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug with so much stark white foam to be worrisome. After the entire contents of the can were emptied, observing the deterioration of the foam was decidedly unattractive. It's irregular and leaves erratic lacing inside the glass. The aroma brings mild hops with a tropical fruitiness. The brew itself is orange-amber and hazy. The good news is it doesn't taste as sweet as it smells, nor as expected, with honey included in the wort. There's a more complex taste of the hops. It's drier and more bitter than expected, likely a thank-you to the Simcoe Hops. The malt backbone is a little lacking, but the ABV is almost amazingly concealed for its strength. Overall, this is surprisingly good. Well past expectations of a honey infused IIPA, without the balancing of barley malt and with a misleading look and aroma, this is actually very good.

From a 16oz cab dated 05/26/20. From the TH Instagram post: “ Nectarous Feast is a brand new Double IPA brewed with oat malt and flaked wheat, and a touch of local wildflower honey. Dry hopped quite aggressively with our forever favorite: Simcoe, a well as a few of our more recent attractions: Australian Vic Secret and Ella. Notes of drippy cantaloupe, mango nectar, perfumey coriander, and orange marmalade.”. Very tasty.
