DDH PUNGE is a variation on one of our most enduring and beloved Double IPAs. Brewed, as always, with plenty of malted oats and fermented with our expressive house ale yeast. Dry hopped with bright and pungent Motueka and Nelson Sauvin from our most recent selections on the South Island of New Zealand, then given an enormous secondary dry hop with the most bright & punchy Citra we can get our hands on.
Man, I am so amped on this one! Just an absolute monster of full hop saturation & that pillowy oat mouthfeel we love from PUNGE IS PUNGE IS PUNGE IS PUNGE IS PUNGE. I’m just gonna say this real quick... DDH PUNGE IS DDH PUNGE IS DDH PUNGE IS DDH PUNGE IS DDH PUNGE IS DDH PUNGE IS DDH PUNGE IS DDH PUNGE IS DDH PUNGE. Notes of cotton candy flavored slushees, dried mango slices, mandarin orange sorbet, tropical fruit parfait, lemon shortbread cookies, and that extra extra sticky icky =)

A serving in a nearly full clear pint glass, having been drawn from a tap. The head is more like a off-white film across the top, but it's enduring and that's the way we pour draft beers in Philadelphia. Its color is oak-amber and it's dull and opaque. Although not particularly aromatic, there are citrus and oatmeal notes. The taste isn't much more pronounced, with the oates providing a nice mouthfeel without adding much flavor. There is a citrus aspect to the hops and that bite is nice, as it never gets too bitter. The alcohol is almost completely hidden by the taste and nearly luscious mouthfeel. Lovely stratified glass lacing witnesses its greatest attribute. If you're seeking a bold taste, this won't impress, but what flavors it delivers are pleasing and it goes down almost too easily.

The correct name is "DDH Punge" and it is a Nelson Sauvin & Motueka hop beer. Not sure of the Citra reference.
