Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazed bright golden amber pour with thick foamy white head. Lasts awhile and leaves great lacing.

S: Sweet and autumnal. Pumpkin pie spices, maple syrup, and vanilla.

T.F: Semi-sweet... vanilla and lactose, maple syrup, and tasteful spices (cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg). Lighter fruit/citrus and tropicals plus a bit of pumpkin and pecan. Smooth and creamy... medium bodied. More citrus and spice to finish.

O: This is an odd but delicious beer. It hits all of the flavors noted (pumpkin pie, maple syrup, spices, and pecan) but it really works within the framework of their milkshake IPA. I liked this a LOT more than I thought I would... and I know what I'm drinking for Thanksgiving next week.

From the TH Instagram post: “ Maple Pecan Pumpkin Pie Milkshake IPA is just an unabashedly Autumnal episode in our freaked out culinary IPA journey, originally begun with our very special friends at Omnipollo. Brewed with oats, wheat and lactose sugar, as well as pumpkin, maple syrup, and pecan meal. Conditioned on quite a lot of Madagascar vanilla beans, Ceylon cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, as well as more maple and pecan, for those of us who never want Autumn to end. Dry hopped with a bit of hand selected Mosaic and Citra from our annual selections.” Excellent!
