Our Trendler Kölsch, a Kölsch-Style Lagerbier, is an extremely simple beer brewed in the image of the provincial beers of Cologne, Germany. Composed of 100% German base malts and a restrained hop bill of all Hallertau Mittelfrüh, it's fermented on the warmer side of the Lager spectrum with a yeast derived from one of the better-known Kölsch breweries and cold conditioned for 3 weeks before packaging. This one has been swirling around our collective unconscious for a long time, and our staff are SUPER excited to see it become a reality.

On draught, an off clarity gold en pour with a decent head a lacing.
Very pleasant maltiness, a bit grainy, nutty and leathery. The hops bitterness is nicely balanced, and yields a pleasant dry finish.

12oz can into a tall glass. Canned 11/16/23, so 2 months old.
Fantastic looking beer. Crystal clear pale golden yellow body, fat foamy white head which leaves thick layers of lacing. Aroma is bready, faintly floral. Clean crisp taste, a little tingly, with a lasting earthy bitterness in the finish. As good a kolsch as can be found outside of Koln, and on a par with some of those.

I am sampling a cold 12 oz can of this beer poured into my Gaffel 0.3 L stange. Date stamp is 6/14/2023 and I picked up the beer at a shop in PA in late August.
The beer pours a bright clear gold color with a bleached white fluffy head foaming up several cm in the glass. This foam fades to a sturdy surface covering and leaving some scattered lattice. A few lazy streams of carbonation rise to the surface.
Aroma is a bit of biscuity malt and some sweeter floral honey mixing together. Just a bit of a black tea hop shows up in the background.
First sip reveals a light body and crisp texture with fine tingly carbonation. Very easy drinker on the physical traits, which fits for the style.
Flavor is some biscuit notes again and but also a bit of white grape here and then rolling to that tea hop bite on the finish. The finish is also very dry and encourages me to take another sip.
A pretty clean and nice example of the style. I would buy this one again.

A - Bright medium gold color with perfect clarity and a thick, dense, white creamy layer of foam resting on top with vibrant carbonation.
S - Nice honey malt aroma with just the right amount of dry earthy straw.
T - Solid honey malt base with earthy citrus and straw over top while finishing perfectly balanced.
M - Big medium body with initial prickly carbonation that finishes gentle and semi-dry.
O - This is a really beautiful beer and not a style I would normally seek out. Highly recommended.

Pours a golden straw color with with the slightest smidge of haze and a sudsy white head. The nose is a subtle lemongrass note and loads of bread - like a bakery of bread aromas. Wow.
The lemongrass is both forward and significantly more prominent on the taste, and it is complemented beautifully by the bready malt flavors. The lemongrass flavor imparts a nice amount of bitterness that lingers well after you take a drink - this tastes like a beer for a LOOOONG time is the best way I can put it.
The mouthfeel is fairly crisp, per the style. What a fantastic beer this is by a world-class brewery.

Nice golden tone and very pure looking in the glass. Light herbal slightly sweet nose. Eminently drinkable with a bready and light grapey malt bite, touches of hops in the finish. A great take on Kolsch
