I had one of these late last night and thought it was off the charts, but a sober sampling today has left me slightly wanting. Drunk me is far more enthusiastic than sober me, unfortunately. Anyway, let's focus on the positives. I'm rather shocked to find that this is only 5.5% ABV. It doesn't drink like a DIPA or anything, but it drinks bigger than five and a half percent. And its remarkably well-balanced for a double dry hopped pale of humble strength. Drinks smooth with a refreshingly dry finish. Also, I like the artwork. Hell, it's a perfectly good beer, just not quite the world-beater I thought it was way back in the wee hours of morn.
