16oz can courtesy of JayO'Rear. Canned on February 25, 2021.
Poured into a Tired Hands glass (thanks, Jay), this was a opaque, milky yellow, with a good sized, creamy white head that left lots of lace.
Slightly subdued nose for such a beer. Citrusy and tropical fruit like aromas, in that order.
Big citrus taste up front. There's a grapefruity bitterness that's a little more front-and-center than I expected, but is far from unwelcome. Tangerine and lychee notes as well. Finishes more mellow than it starts.
Medium bodied, with a creamy but slightly oily mouthfeel.
Ballsy, this one, at least in the flavor dept. People who don't like the bitterness of a WCIPA won't dig this, I'm thinking. I like both styles, and I'm digging it. Kinda wish I'd shared this with my buddy Mark, who is very old school about his IPAs (and he doesn't drink much else, beer-wise). This could be the hazy that turns him around. Great stuff, Jay!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
