Barrel Aged Antenna is a special treatment of our zippy and citrusy house Witbier. Brewed in July 2019 and primary fermented in a large oak tart with a classic Witbier yeast, then aged in French oak red wine barrels for 6 months with a very expressive strain of Brettanomyces. Bottled in August 2020, and conditioned in the bottle for natural carbonation.

Light and fruity, wine and oak come through really nice. So refreshing of a wit.

Pours clear gold with nice carbonation.Oak hits you immediately upon smell. Some citrus, mostly grapefruit. The beer is a medium body. The taste says sour but it not a pucker up sour. It’s very mild but finishes smooth with a lingering bite.A quality brew that is perfect for hot weather days.A nice thirst quencher.

Poured from a corked bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Light golden pour with 2 fingers of fizzy white head. Some sediment towards the end of the pour. Solid lacing.
S: Tart and funky. Oak, fruit, lemon, and spice.
T.F: Complex, tart, and funky. Lemon citrus, oak and red wine. Earth and spice mixed with green fruit and apple peel. Light bodied... well carbonated. Prickly. Modest acidity. More funk and fruit to finish.
O: An outstanding barrel aged Wit. Definitely a Tired hands style brew... tasty, easy drinking, and complex.

750 ml bottle poured into a tulip
A- A hazy golden straw with a two finger white head.
S- Tart, wheat, oak, some red wine, slightly earthy, some brett funk.
T- Tart, lemons, hints of oranges, red wine, oak, wheat, a little earthy, mild funk.
M- Smooth, soft, light body.
O- This is good, but pretty much has gone into the tart saison territory. Barrel and brett work very well in this.
