Pretty good effort on a stout, there are certainly many better ones out there but this one had a unique character taste without going overboard on darkness, just to do it. I would definitely add this one to my tasting board to balance of some Tired Hands IPA.

On nitro draft at the brewery, in pint glass

Black in color, with creamy layer of off-white white colored head. Mild aroma of dark cocoa and coffee - the nitro serving choice hurts this. Taste is similar, but not a ton of depth to the flavor, but improves as it warms a bit. Smooth mouthfeel.

Disappointing beer. Lacking body and too thin/watery for a stout. Perhaps could pass for a brown porter.

Great, easy drinking stout! Nice roasty malted flavor with a solid cocoa aftertaste!

Poured from a 12oz can into pint glass in April 2022. There was a canned on date of 02/10/2022. I bought the beer at their brew pub in Ardmore and drank it within a couple of days.

Appearance: Very dark black with a thin dark brown head with a tan hint. Head was about 1 finger high, and lasted a minute. It left only a little lacing on the glass, and ended with a thin tan head still on the beer.

Smell: Aroma of coffee and roasted grain. There is also some caramel with some chocolate, but overall the coffee and roasted malt dominate the others.

Taste: There is a strong coffee and some smoky roasted flavors. A little chocolate and licorice flavors. There is a mild alcohol presence, which matches the 4.6% on the label.

Mouth-feel: Thin body and smooth.

This is an OK Stout. I prefer the other Tired Hands stouts. It is smooth and enjoyable to drink, but it tastes "thin" which I do not expect in a good stout.

There's also something about the void stamped to the bottom of the can, but I'm going to ignore that and focus on the beer - even if I am rather more of an expert on the void (why else would I be drinking so much) than beer.

Looks rather like any other stout you care to name on the pour. Dark body, diminishing malted milk ball innard head. Smells of roasted malts and all that they entail: coffee beans and chocolate and such. Taste is pretty remarkable for a 4.6% stout. Oreo cookie wafers with light hints of espresso. Some fruity notes, too, though (to my mind anyway) it's just a generic fruitiness more than something I can key-in on and pick out. Prickly carbonation with a medium-light body. If they were going for a crushable session stout (and I'm pretty sure they were), then I'd say they knocked it out of the park. Also makes a terrific Irish car bomb if, like me, you refuse to leave the house to purchase the Guinness you forgot to grab earlier.

Sampling a cold 12 oz can poured into my snifter. Date stamp is 10/21/2021.
The beer pours a dark black coffee hue with a dense creamy beige head of 1.5 cm. this foam fades to a sturdy surface covering that sticks around throughout this sampling.
The aroma is roasted malt and dark chocolate with a few hints of char and coffee ground. No sweetness and no hops on the aroma.
First sip reveals a medium to light body with smooth texture and soft rolling carbonation. This stout drinks easy and smooth. no ABV hints nor much of a hop balance. Just a roasty smooth dark stout that drinks easy. Pretty nice beer!
Flavor is dark chocolate and roasted malt and I swear I am getting cinnamon when the liquid first hits my lips. Weird, but its there every sip. I also get some coffee ground that lingers with a bit of bitterness on the finish.
This is a nice approachable non-additive low ABV stout. worth a purchase if you like the dark malt notes without the often accompanying big booze

This is a new addition to the Only Void line of stouts released by TH once a year. Billed as a “crushable” OV stout, it is indeed delicious for a stout that is only 4.6% ABV. Excellent “baby” stout.
