Canned 2/3/2023

Crazy hazy pour with a solid finger+ of floofy off-white head. Solid wall of lace is quite the sight. That alone earns a good grade, even if I don't care for the baby spit-up-looking-ass body. Smells a bit dank and a bit like opening a can of peaches in syrup. Also a little onion-y, which I'm not a fan of. Taste brings a ton of citrus pith that the nose fails to imply and holy fuck is it bitter. Also tons of allium stank. Yeesh. Aren't these things test-batched first? I find it impossible to believe that a real human being sampled this and said, "Yep. Scale this up and can it pronto!" That bitterness lingers like a motherfucker. Thank fuck I can't remember what I paid for this 'cuz I'm about to dump it. Gonna have to scrub my tongue with a fucking Brillo pad to properly cleanse my palette, too.

From a 16oz can purchased on release last week. From the TH Instagram post: “ Our E-Hop IPA that was brewed with 2-Row and Malted Oats and loaded with some of our favorite E-Hops from down-under (Ella and Enigma) and state-side (Ekuanot), which are all added to the kettle and then doubled down on in the dry-hop! This was originally a BrewCafé beer that we liked so much, we had to put it in cans. Flowers is hopped at an absolutely ludicrous (but delicious) rate and has a pleasant balancing bitterness reminiscent of some of our favorite old school IPAs. Notes of fresh lavender, grapefruit pith and the dankest possible stash bag.”. Very good with a surprisingly (but pleasant) bitter finish.
