Per Tired Hands: Coffee Crushable Void is our superbly sessionable baby stout straight from the heart of the Void. Brewed with a mini-version of the malt mountain we use to brew Only Void, this lil’ crusher is also hopped with a tiny bit of Chinook to provide a pleasing bitterness. Coffee Crushable Void was then conditioned on the same fresh coffee we pour at our Fermentaria. Notes of molasses, warm chocolate beignet and Turkish coffee. 4.5%
Per me: Head isn't especially big but does hang out a while. Big coffee right up front on the nose, though I couldn't tell you if it's Turkish or not. Leather notes as well. Smells like what it is: a lower ABV coffee stout. Taste brings more leather, bitter roast and, yeah, molasses. It's not my favorite flavor profile but it's not terrible or anything. Somewhat slight mouthfeel with a low level carbonation that works. This is fine, nothing special. I'm mostly drinking it because I'm tired and need a little caffeine boost.
