This is a summer edition happoshu I bought in Japan (in December, but never let the season decide it all for you!)
Happoshu is something I would normally try to avoid but as the can was boasting the citrusiness I just had to try it - and I wasn't disappointed!
It looks decent golden and the smell tells it all: very fruity and citrusy. The taste follows, to an extent that you start thinking that this citrusy, semi sweet fruitiness is almost like a juice! Actually it is a bit more carbonated than normal so it adds to this sensation but interestingly it is not too strong or harsh. I would say that this beer is quite easy and nice to drink, 100% pleasant. As a beer lover perhaps you might expect something more but appreciating it for just what it is, it brings all the satisfaction it should.
Would be perfect on a hot summer night in Japan!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
