Okay so Sapporo came out with a one-shot “beer surprise” for the Golden Week of 2019 in Japan, with a special edition beer avaioable only at Family Mart convenience stores.
The surprise was that it is really hoppy in the nose, it is dry hopped to achieve that nice smell but it’s not really possible to decipher the nature of the beer as all major brewing companies in Japan avoid clarifying what type it is, instead they just publish these demagog slogans...
Nevertheless, the beer tastes like a weak American Pale Ale, with a bit more intense bitterness and watery taste overall. Still, it’s not so bad, considering that it was made by Sapporo, even though I might not buy it again.
