This is the third one I’ve had from Yebisu’s Limited Edition series and I’ve got to say that this is probably the best. Although I have to add that this is far from what you would call a real white ale, it does carry some of ots characteristics: some special yeast in the aroma and a slight funk in the taste that is so common of Belgian beer. And as I like trappists, even the slightest resemblance made me happy. To be honest, this is a watered down version of it as best, but hey what could you expect from a Japanese major brewery? Think I could drink it again though, at least I didn’t have anything against it except for its weakness in both taste and character. Would I seek it out? I don’t think so, would rather buy a Belgian instead for almost the same price.
