October 24 can. Weird beer. I just don’t understand who would want this sort watery flavorless yet unrefreshing beer. I think Japanese macros can be pretty good, but this one is sweet and unbalanced. Skip it. Had good head and retention though.

I had a “Shifuku no Kaori” two years ago, now this seems to be something different.
This seems to be a take on Kirin’s Spring Valley, a hopped lager that earned enough popularity to become a staple, so conservative Japanese major breweries are venturing into mentioning “hops” or “2 hop varieties” being used etc as opposed to the tradition of talking about malts alone.
Anyway, once again back with a limited edition, this time Shifuku no Kaori smells and tastes hoppy enough to enjoy off the shelf of a convenience store (don’t forget that we are in Japan where you can’t just buy good beer anywhere if at all...)
What I felt from this beer is that it had more of its share of hops and that perhaps American hops might havw been used as opposed to your average lager and their German hops.
The downside is that it turned a bit foul after warming up. Was okay with dinner, would not choose this when wanting to drink or enjoy beer as such.
