Pale, yellow and color with a thick head that leaves lots of lacing in the glass. Has the typical lemon zest and malty nose. Easy drinking refreshing beer.

Was about to post this one but Shigg beat me to it by two days… anyhow!
A Dortmunder Lager? The can talks about the “Bayern tradition” although I have no idea what it is, guess it just means it is a German style beer. Loving that they never categorize beers in Japan so you’re left with trying to guess what it is supposed to be… - or is that what it is, everything is a vague “beer” and nothing more?
This one does feel better than the average Yebisu though. It does have a definite German(-like) feel to it, although drinking it from a can I felt it didn’t do it justice. Would love to try it once ice cold, in a tumbler though. The way I tasted it felt slightly lacking some of those “hop terroirs” I got fooled by…
Better than your average Japanese beer anyway.
