A - This whispy quickly dropping head. Clear generic lager style body. Looks just like Sapporo and the other macro-japanese lagers, a golden hay color. Some continued carbonation.
S - Basicaly non-existent. Not even a aluminum can smell. This is probably a good thing as the alternative would be stale grain and old hop smell. Although this is extremely bland to the point of being a non-issue I still have to give it an 'average' just because it's not unpleasant either. For this style only, it's appropriate.
T - Simple pale lager hops, but has a one-two pow of malts. I'm thinking pale malt and maybe more pale malt. Aftertaste is sweet.
M - Fizzy sweet smooth enough. Not caustic. No bitter beer face.
D - This is my second favorite cheap Japanese happoshu. It's perfect for a third string beer. It's also easy to find at most Japanese convenient stores and super markets. I would rate this higher than many Euro pale lagers, and way higher than macro-American adjunct lagers. At the same time it manages to be a step or two above many of it's local competitors in this price class. Please remember this only gets a score this high by being good for a happoshu. Most are not.
