A-Poirs a clear, glowing orange color. Head is very soft. It is a thin seam of white froth. Stringy lacing.

S-Nose is subtle but mostly hop forward. I get hoppy notes of clementine and candied oranges along with peaches. Hints of grain and caramel, too.

T-Flavor is a bit more assertive but it is still fairly mellow. There is some bitterness that sneaks up on the back end. As far as descriptors, I get more candied oranges and a generally sweeter hoppiness. Tangy citrus, and an almost dusty flavor. Malt is of light toffee and bread crust.

M-Soft carbonation.medium to light bitterness. More of a sipper for me and I'm not entirely sure why.

O-I enjoy the Hop Essence series. This one wasn't my favorite. Mandarina Bavaria seems to be a hop that should have company with other hops in a beer.

Poured from the 22 oz. bomber into an Innis & Gunn stemmed flute.

a: Clear dark gold with an inch thick white head which receded to thick even surface foam and dense lacing.

s: Bread and light fruit.

t: Bready malt and light fruit with tangerine notes and some hop bite. Bitterness lingers all over the tongue somewhat on an otherwise dry finish. Flavor and body became more interesting as the dregs were poured, must have had conditioning yeast in there, became hazy too.

m: Medium, good body, plenty of carbonation tingle.

o: A good Pale, nice as a dinner beer, the showcased hops have some mostly mild citrus notes. Sipped better once the dregs were included.

Awesome!!!! Fruity and fresh on draft back in May. Fruitiness doesn't hold up great to age or heat though. Get it young if another batch comes around.

This is really interesting, a new and unique hop, Mandarina Bavaria, supposedly it has some Bavarian notes to it, even like banana esters etc just in the hops themselves, so this should be interesting.

Pours a nice creamy fizzy 1 finger head that fades semi slowly with nice soapy lacing, a slight hazy coppery apple juice tan colored.

Nose is very interesting, it has those nice floral fresh hop notes, but at the same time something completely different and unique, quite fruity, a mild grassy earthy slight noble component, with a bit of a fruity ester note like a fruit punch, a touch of a wheat like almost grainy malt, mild possible sweetness and reddish malt, a hint of a citrusy component and almost tangerine like note.

Taste starts with more fruity notes as well as sweet malts, some caramel and candy reddish malts, a touch of a grainy malt note, toasted reddish malts, etc. Hops bring some interesting characters again, fruity at first, a mild citrus and tropical note, estery like fruit punch thing, into grassy notes, a little earthy like grassy and floral noble component again, later I finally get a hint of banana which is interesting, it's almost like a big bowl of mixed fruit blended together with some noble hops. Fair bitterness that increases as it finish, a little dry but sticky on the finish, little more fruit and hint citrus lingering with some spicy grassy hops and a touch more caramel malt.

Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, ncie carb.

Overall pretty interesting hop, the malts add a nice balance with some sweetness, reddish and caramel malt, nice bitterness overall really unique hop that they are able to showcase well, although perhaps a touch less of the sweetness and candy caramel malts would have brought the hop out a bit more, but still nice.
