22oz. bottle: It opened with a very loud pffft: lots of pressure. This one pours a cloudy golden color. There was a huge off-white head that made it difficult to pour. Some lacing. Nice nose. Grainy and melon. Taste is pretty good. Just a touch bitter. Melon notes as well as some graininess. Some spiciness. Not bad at all.

Bottled July 08, 2014 so super fresh.

Neat, another single hop that I really get to try and figure out without having to brew with it. I love that they are doing that. Loved the mandarina bavaria and I'm even brewing with it now. Let's see how this hop varietal is.

Pours a light fizzy bubbly 1/2 finger head that fades at a med pace, decent lines of lacing, mostly hazy honey orange color.

Nose is quite unique and interesting. An interesting grassiness to it, mild earthy and terroir notes, fairly floral and a nice fresh hop character, with a mild fruit quality, hint of a candied dried fruit like apricot and clementine, it gets fairly grassy and even a little herbal esp as it warms. Touch of a sweet malt base too. the more it goes, the more that dried candied fruit turns in to a melon note, hint of watermelon and a honeydew cantaloupe thing. Pretty interesting.

Taste starts with a grassy hop character, almost noble like hop flavor, actually it is fairly noble-esque, and a bit floral and juicy like. Nice hop flavor, turning a bit spicy, but no real fruit or melon yet. Mild fluffy malt under that, not really sweet or any other real characters, just a bit of a fluffy malt, just enough to prop the hops up. Eventually the hops get a little citrus note, and just a touch fruity, very mild citrus like a bland clementine thing. Finish is again grassy, quite grassy hop and a little floral still, hint spicy like, no citrus or fruit this time, touch of sticky malt.

Mouth is med bod, nice fluffy carb.

overall OK, I do like how they showcased the hops, but the hops are a bit deceiving, the nose started grassy and floral then hinted at melon and fruit as well as a touch of citrus, but the flavor only brought the first part and neve followed with the fruit citrus or melon. Malts are OK, just enough to prop up the hops. Pretty interesting but not great.
