Bought a bottle at the Beer Shop in East Longmeadow. The beer has a slightly visible orange appearance with little to no head and some lacing on the sides. Aromas include a hop zest with some citrus, lemon, and grassy pine. The beer is pretty tasty with some approachable bitter orange and citrus flavors. Pretty refreshing mouthfeel with some decent carbonation mixed well with a light creamy texture. Overall, this was a great beer in the aroma and taste departments.

Popping the cap gives a slight pine/grass scent. Right on target for an old-school IPA.
Pours a slightly opaque amber, typical for IPAs. 1/2" , off-white head, that quickly dissipates, with little to no lacing.
Aroma is mostly of grapefruit, with some pine.
Taste follows the nose, with soft grapefruit flavor, & a touch of pine. Despite the name, I'm getting no detectable grass flavor .Fine, sharp carbonation. As it warms, some dankness is added to the aroma. Overall, a good,easy-drinking IPA. I might get once in awhile , as a change-of-pace,but would not be at the top of the list to seek out.

Review from BeerAdvocate magazine issue #110
(MAR 2016)
Dank, Juicy, Pungent, Vegetal
Not your usual IPA, Garden of Grass has the bitterness and loads of hop flavor, but it is a hop flavor that sets it apart from most. Lots of citrus rind, blood orange and ruby red grapefruit to be exact. It’s very dank, with hints of melon rind, hemp seeds and green tea. Sip after sip I am really liking this, and the aftertaste is just a mouthful of slowly fading hop flavor and a fruity alcohol whisper. I love the brewer’s gusto. Well done, Jack. [Jason]

Look - A light amber/golden honey type color, hazy. A great looking beer.
Smell - Pine, grapefruit, grassy, fruity, citrus
Taste - A fitting name for this beer. Tons of fresh cut grass on the palate. Pine, grapefruit, citrus, orange peel, fruity
Overall - Really impressed by Brewmaster Jack. Really starting to like these guys.

From a 22-oz bottle, poured into a pint glass. Pours with a thin head that dissipates quickly.
It's a golden, almost a light brown and cloudy consistency. The carbonation bubbles are obvious. The smell is hoppy and, yes grassy.
The initial taste is hoppy, with a very pine resin in front, then a bitter citrus comes through, the man said watermelon and that seems right, along with a creamy malt undertone. Good sweetness without being too overpowering. A little melon that turns to grass or bread or mealy, it could be the resin of the pine hops, rather than tart -- it's not grapefruit, so it seems to be only making a gesture towards citrus without actually going there. It's moving towards dank but not too much to make you regret it.
The finish is sharp, dry and earthy. The feel is a little watery although resin. As it warms, the grass (that tastes a little dirty) comes through much more. This is drinkable and ends up being quite pleasurable overall.
A great beer that takes the pine and grass part of a hoppy IPA seriously, with a detour into fruit in the middle.
