L - Golden (apricot) look to this mixed culture sour; little head (duh), but decent lacing even at 5.5%
S - Definitely smell apricots and the sourness on the nose from the acids coming through; a little bread and yeast, but you can smell the sour before you ...
T - taste the sour! More like it; perky-acidic apricot depth to this, a New World gueuze style that satisfies. Good bite, from the acid and the bacteria. Lovely. Tastes like Heavy metal Belgium, in a good way.
F - Fantastic balance, carbonation, and palate impact; nary a place on the tongue that doesn't get the sour impact.
O - fantastic mixed culture from TRVE with CO apricots used and you can actually taste the latter. Love this; def buying again.

the wild beer here just keeps getting better and better. this is an apricot wild ale, balanced though for how much fruit they use, its authentic, but its not overpowering, and the base beer is very sour, but also real drinkable as they go, i enjoyed this one a lot, and there seems to be quite a bit more to it than some of the fruited golden sours out there. this has a lot of wood for one, and a lot more interesting grain base. the color is almost dark orange, with a little bit of haze and a ton of carbonation, this is really active and the head holds long. it comes out a little too cold from the tap, so i let it warm awhile. the apricots are ripe and fresh and bold in the flavor and aroma, but this is neither sweet from the fruit, nor juicy. its balanced with the malt, which may include some wheat and some lighter crystal malt as well, and it makes the transition from ripe fruit to tangy yeast really interesting. its a mellow transition, but all of a sudden this gets really sour. less funk than some of the others, a very clean acidity to this, just short of harsh. neat having this on the lower alcohol side, the fuller body makes it really satisfying, and the ix of fruit and wood is distinct, its fresher and newer than most, really nicely put together. i cant get enough of the wild stuff these guys are making right now. this one is really fantastic.

The body is a redish amber with a nice lacey white head that has great retention. The beer looks delicious.
The nose is very indicative of a sour and makes your mouth water with the first whif. There are notes of sour cherry, honey and malt.
The flavor is a nice tart apple with hints of cherry, lemon and honey. The are light hints of orange zest and heat.
Overall a very enjoyable sour.
