Imperial stout with maple syrup, vanilla beans, cacao nibs, coffee, and a whole disassembled whiskey barrel in the tank.

Jet black body; opaque; incredibly thick, dense and creamy, khaki hued head; sticky strings and patches of foam stick to the glass. Decent dark grain and cocoa aroma. The taste exudes complexity with subtle balance; milk chocolate; cocoa; vanilla; maple syrup; dense and earthy sweetness throughout; suggestion of dark roast coffee; bourbon seeps through as the beer warms. Heavy body; sludgy; chewy; incredible residual sugar body; dull warmth lurking beneath the heavy sweetness.
There are a lot of ingredients and adjuncts used with this beer yet not one totally dominates the flavor profile. It's interesting that the smell factor seems somewhat subdued, everything else comes across with near insane depth and balance. I'm glad I snagged a can of this behemoth!
