rad beer in collaboration with other half, and once again, trve kills it, demonstrating they are one of the best in the state. this is awesome beer, funky and tart, more sour than some other recent blends of theirs i have had, but very interesting too. not sure if they actually blended with other half beer or just used some of their yeast or what, but the result is quite a bit more puckery than i have gotten used to from trve alone. lemony and clean in the finish, the funk seems to come on a little earlier, farmy but subtle, its the bacterial part thats more pronounced here. some clean citrus from the dry hopping, noble spiciness meeting a fresh lemon and tangerine note, lemongrass too, and a cool earthy raw wheaty sort of grain base, really light in body, especially with the effervescent carbonation. the wood part is light, a little wine tannic thing to it, but not a heavy oak presence. id love to know more details about the blend, but the beer is drinkable and interesting, increasingly complex as it warms, and something else interesting and very well refined from these guys. cool to see it in the cans too!

Light yellow body; medium cloudiness; thin yet lasting white head; sticky. Powerful and varied scents -- sour and wild; floral; fruity; biscuit and cracker; green apple. Big sour flavor; apple and grapefruit. Medium-heavy body; soft and mildly fizzy; dry and tart.
An awesome mixed culture beer, very much sour and dry yet bringing some great fruity character to the mix.
