Pours a golden yellow with a twinge of fog to it. Head is two fingers of dense foam. Aroma is orange, tropical fruits, lemon zest, grassy hops and resiny/herbal hops. Has a slight bite to it, but mellows out quick. Flavor profile is zesty, herbaly, grassy hops with orange peel, lemon zest and slightly rindy resiny hops clinging to the back. It has a mellow start and tapers off into a diluted finish. Mouth feel is medium-thin with a very soft effervescence. It breaks down to a thin, but lightly crisp finish. Overall, smooth and flavorful IPA that refrains from being brash or harsh. It's mellow and calculated.

L - 4.25 - Fantastic, clear, bubbly hell foam from Satan on top. Seriously - this head lasts FOREVER.
S - 3.75 - a little muted, but some dank biscuity pineapple on offer here. Better as it warms
T - 4 - really solid palate for 5.6% - reminds me of what IPAs used to be like, reasonable ABV, fantastic follow through on the bitter tropical fruit impression. Def some Mosaic, and I feel a Kiwi hop is lurking in here, could be wrong.
F - Great carbonation, stays lively, effervescent, clean, dry.
O - a great "IPA" more like a pale these days, but I'll be seeking this shit out and DESTROYING it next time.

a true west coast style ipa to juxtapose the hazy ones they have been into lately. it always amazes me how many beers these guys make, like the pace of innovation is insane, and it seems like everything is good. new offerings on tap every time i go in, new cans and bottles in the market every week almost, and i have liked them all. this one is great, a nice oily bitterness running through it, but also a cool dry hop that has strong notes of fresh spruce and good weed, orange peel, honey, and mowed lawn. its insanely fresh, has some body surprisingly for its low alcohol content, and drinks clean and easy, a beer i could happily do pint after pint. the pine element lingers the longest in the finish, and there is a bite to it a little bit, but there is enough fruitiness in the mix to really keep it interesting and multidimensional all the way through. not much yeast character here, except to say that the beer is almost all the way dried out. a cool offering, simple in a way, but just fresh and good. their hoppy stuff keeps getting better and better!
