an ipa with azacca hops, a collaboration with our mutual friend, at least the second or third beer they have done together now. its almost clear, but also very low bitterness, kind of a regional or style bender in the ipa category, as this has to be more dry hopped than anything else, but its clean and bright and well refined, not heavy like some of their hazy ones can be, but just as soft to me, really well made beer and a better expression of azacca than is common these days, this isnt a hop that has done much for me in recent years, and if thats all they use here, they have gotten more from it than others, but maybe thats just the dry hop and there were other varietals in the kettle, i have no idea, but i love the beer. light almost noble spiciness in the middle of it somehow, earthy and lemony at the same time, the right grain build and a clean fermentation profile too. some orange peel, honey, and even basil or something, familiar as azacca, but like on steriods to me, do they make the lupulin powder from this hop yet? it almost has that sort of intensity about it. easy drinking and smooth though, fresh as can be, and additional proof that trve does everything well, as if we needed it...
