Clear, golden colored body; excellent carbonation; basically no head. Outstanding smell; a bit sour, a bit funky; rustic. Beautiful sour taste, mild with a bit of oak-like edge; nice, quiet ester qualities; peach and apricot. Medium body; smooth and tangy.
This is a wonderful wild, foeder saison. The beer brings fantastic depth of character to the palate. It is not too tangy or funky either, yet has enough of those elements to add some real pleasure to the drink.
Poured at 63 °F; no bottling information noted.

a tasty sour farmhouse style with a unique hop profile, this is the essence of trve, the kind of thing they do as well as anyone, and a beer made for drinking at this lower abv, i think as complex and flavorful as you can really get in a package this small, impressive again, man i love these guys! its pale yellow, uniformly hazy, frothy beaten egg white head, intricate lacing, and hopped with magnum, saaz, and mandarina bavaria, an uncommon combination i have to imagine. the aroma and flavor is truly the best of all of this, its funky and tangy without being too acidic, mouthwatering and unique to trve on the ferment, piquant and funky, and the hops range from candy flashes to bitter herbal tincture, lime leaf from the saaz, moderate alpha acid, and sweet tangerine, its all here, and the whole thing is summery, wheaty, almost creamy feeling, and just better than what everyone else is doing in beer like this. i feel like this is a little bit reinventing the wheel, they have done a fair few like this over the years, but these beers and this one especially are leagues above what else is out there. its refreshing and complex at the same time, its fresh and mature too somehow, woody but bright, and its unique in a way thats not just because of the hops. i could drink ten of these! bravo. a brand new combination of old world and new school.
