the trve collaboration game is so on point and robust, its hard to keep up, and it seems like theyve done something with every heady brewery on earth already. this is done with tool, or to ol, however its rightly written, danish and awesome, another high profile coming together. this is a wild beer done with bog myrtle, which apparently has a history as a beer ingredient. this is wonderful stuff, and next to other local denver wild beers, its a standout, but trve beer always stands out. i was stoked to encounter this, i love both breweries so much, and the beer blew me away. its pale beer, not clear but not hazy either, effervescent but not holding a ton of head by the time it gets to where im sitting from the bar. it smells tart, slightly woody and musty, dry and interesting, trve from a mile away. hints of orange candy, seaberry, orange tang, lemongrass, white tea, fresh tulips, and chardonnay. its lovely and its funky and the flavor is as good as the nose. bog myrtle is somewhat foreign to me, but this has botanical and almost medicinal properties, and while its tart and bright, it reminds me of something fantome would do, weird and mysterious, but awesome and drinkable at the same time. vinous and herbal and weird. this seems like a trve beer to me, whatever our friends from to ol brought, it seems more conceptual than actual involvement. that said, i wouldnt change a thing, this is next level, and it was awesome to share it with a majorly missed friend. special stuff, sure to age well if they packaged it, but a dime on tap too! i cant get enough from trve right now.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
