another very flavorful low alcohol beer from these guys, somewhat fermentation forward, and very dynamic on the hop side, just a great pale, almost on the edge of clean saison in terms of the way the yeast manifests itself, but the hops win the day, and this ends up being a rather layered little drinker, never bitter in the least, and different than pretty much anything else out there, how do these guys keep doing that again and again?! id love to know what the hops are in this light golden glass, a little noble to me, lime and shrubs and herbs, some citrus too, but its tempered, and i almost get a pils type malt wrinkle, its anything but generic there, perfect for these hops, and thats even before the yeast, which has a clean french saison vibe, like apple cider and riesling, even trace vanilla somehow. the hops are awesome and overall the beer is very light, interestingly textured, flavorful, and well refine. its the kind of thing that screams summer but works anytime. its so great how often new beers pop up at trve, they never rest. i wonder if the name comes from slavoj zizek, thats a crazy book, and this is a crazy beer...
