another citrus heavy mixed fermentation seeming beer from these guys. i am one of their biggest fans, and this is certainly yummy, but it seems like they have made this one a couple of times before, not that they have, but lime and orange and grapefruit seem like things that find their way into a lot of trve beers in these styles, its great, but its samey when lined up next to the rest of the beers they have made over the years, mature and funky and just tart enough, the fermentation profile on these beers is always so interesting and dialed, and it is here too. i think grapefruit nudges ahead of the lemon and lime and orange in this, but overall its more generic fruity than distinctive, at least to me, fresh and real and cool and all, but its the ferment that i am attracted to the most. a bit of a sprite character, lemongrass, soda-esque for sure, almost seltzer meets beer, but the fruit is very real in here, which makes it hard to set the glass down. this might not be the most original beer on their tap wall right now, but its another example of just how well they seem to do everything. this would be better in summer, but its quintessentially them and a very light and enjoyable drink. trve never disappoints.
