On tap this pours a brilliant and clear golden yellow. Great head retention. Wonderful aroma, think campfire and wood burning stoves. The smoke plays gently on the sip, with a crisp finish. Utterly delightful.

Pale, almost greenish yellow body with a light cloudiness; sparse carbonation; thin, patchy white head. Faint aroma; light, bready grain scent. Delicate smokey flavor with a light note of soft wheat taste; lemon bread sweetness. Medium-light body; smooth; gently sweet mouthfeel.
This is an interesting beer utilizing (among other things) smoked beech malt and oak smoked wheat. The smokiness is light and refined. There are lightly sweet and estery notes as well. It has a lager smoothness. An interesting beer but perhaps the smokiness could have been kicked up a notch and better head production to make this a more memorable beer. As it is, this has a similar taste, in my opinion, like a Polish grodziskie beer (which isn't a bad thing).
